In Loving Memory of Alice Pauline Lincoln It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce our family has lost a wonderful woman, Alice Pauline Lincoln. Surrounded by her loving family, she passed away on December 20, 2006 in Kamloops, B.C. Alice will be missed by her loving husband of 31 years Ken; mother Pearl; children Jim (Jo-Ann) Koester; Alan (Jennifer) Lincoln, Sandra (Scott) Buckland and Darren Lincoln; grandchildren; Brett (Shelley), Danett, Nicole, Rebecca, Megan, Sean, Danya and Ally; sister, Inez Root; brothers Harold (Evelyn) Bridge and Vic (Rita) Bridge; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Alice was predeceased by her father Stanley and sister Margaret Cahoon. Alice was born in Appledale, B.C. on February 9, 1934. She was raised in the Kootenays and after marrying Ken, settled down for many years at Pinantan Lake and most recently in Kamloops. She was a 4-H Leader and a committee member of the Provincial Winter Fair for many years. Some of her happiest times were working the sheep as a farm-hand at the Jay Springs Ranch. Cooking was her passion. She cooked in guide camps, potlucks, weekly family functions and baking special treats for her beloved grandchildren. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses at Royal Inland Hospital 6-South and Jerry and Del Macready for their loving care of Alice. There will be no funeral service at the Family's request. A celebration of Alice's life will take place in the spring of 2007, to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Alice, to the BC 4-H Foundation, P.O. Box 490, Enderby, B.C. V0E 1V0. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Schoenings Funeral Service, 374-1454.
