LOURDES/TRENTON – Walter Angus Farrell, age 80, of St. Bernard Court, Lourdes, and formerly of 13th St., Trenton, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital New Glasgow.
Born in Trenton, he was a son of the late Ignatius and Mary (Gerrior) Farrell.
He was a retired employee of Hawker Siddeley, Trenton.
He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Yvonne (Setzkorn) Farrell; daughters, Lorie (John) MacLellan, Abercrombie; Ginny (Ronald) Bugden, Little Harbour; sons, Fred, Trenton; John, Halifax; Ken (Kim), Lower Sackville, N.S.; Darryl (Sandra), Trenton; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Crystal, John, Matthew, Virginia, Yvonne, Liam, Danielle; great-granddaughter Olivia; sisters, Anna Mae Pentz, Stellarton; Toddy Blaicher, Ontario; Doddy (Bubsy) Shreenan, Sackville, N.S.; Christine (Robert) Oderkirk, Wolfville; brother, Sonny (Patsy), Enfield, N.S.
He was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Catherine, Eileen; brothers, John and Leonard. Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Christ the King Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in his memory may be made to Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home Trenton.
