MCNAIR, MARVIS I. - Marvis I. McNair, 86, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, February 17, 2012. Born in Apple River, NS, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lillian (Crossman) Spicer. Marvis was a former employee of Zeller’s Ltd. and MF Industries, Moncton. In her retirement years, Marvis shared duties with her husband as Superintendent of the two Lorentz Drive apartment buildings. She was a founding member of Trinity United Church, Riverview, the UCW and The Quilters. Marvis enjoyed reading, sewing and knitting. Marvis will be sadly missed by her sisters, Verna Hatfield (Glendon) of Lower Sackville, NS and Isabelle Doyle of Parrsboro; sister-in-law, Louise Spicer of Welland, ON; her daughter-in-law, Deanna and her family; as well as several nieces and nephews, especially her niece, Judy and her husband, Steven Walker. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth (1986); her son, Kenny (2008); brother, Dalton (2005)and sister, Katrina (2010).
Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday, February 20, 2012, 1:00 pm, Rev. Charlotte Youland officiating, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
