Sharpe, Charles Lawrence, 80, Great Village, passed away Thursday February 16, 2012 in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Blanche (Hines) Sharpe. Charles lived at the home of Tom and Kaye Sharpe, Great Village, for the past 37-years after the passing of their mother. They were a joy to have around and were always very loveable. Charles and his brother Laurie was great babysitter and always enjoyed the children.
He is survived by brothers, Thomas Sharpe (Kaye) of Great Village, William “Bill” Sharpe (Annette) of Debert; half-sister Mrs. Shirley Philips of Chase, BC; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Charles was predeceased by brothers, Bradley, Laurie, Bobby; sisters Lillian Lavigne (Roger), Jean Steeves (Leslie), sister Stella Mae in infancy.
Visitation will take place from 10 am until funeral service time at 11 am Tuesday, February 21st, in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. David Lloyd-Pearce will officiate with burial at a later date in Brookfield Westside Cemetery, Brookfield. Family flowers only. Donations in Charles’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
