Peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, with her children by her side on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, of Winnifred Emaline (Winnie) LeClair beloved wife of the late Claude LeClair of Tignish, age 87 years. Born in Burton, Lot 7, on March 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Gertrude (nee Coughlin) McInnis. Lovingly remembered by her children, Linda Wells of Tignish; Joanne Aylward of Tignish; Sheila (Edward) Bernard of Christopher’s Cross; Beverley (Jimmy) Gillis of DeBlois; Johnny (Debbie) of Nail Pond; Aggie (Late George) Connick of Christophe's Cross; Blair (Julia) of Tignish; Joey (Donna ) of Tignish; Wayne (Helen) of Summerside.She will be sadly missed by her 21 grandchildren and by her eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Claude in 1993 as well as her son, Harold, in 1993. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Reta Gavin, Gertrude Gavin, Francis Hood, Margaret Hackett, Alfred, Stephen, Stafford and Bernie. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Funeral on Wednesday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Maplewood Manor Alberton would be gratefully appreciated. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from noon until time of funeral.
