ZAHN Donald Zahn passed away peacefully on February 10, 2007 at the age of 76 with his family at his side. Don was born on February 1, 1931 in Stettler, Alberta. The family moved to Kelowna and then Penticton shortly after his birth and settled in Kamloops in 1932, where Don has resided ever since. As a youngster Don developed a great passion for the game of lacrosse, and eventually played in a highly-skilled Senior B League against teams from Vernon, Armstrong, Kelowna and Rutland, and ventured as far away as Prince George on occasion. Don also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired from a lifetime of service at Weyerhaeuser in 1989, and spent his final years at Berwick on the Park where he had many good friends. His parents, Norman and Cecilia, his sister Alice and his wife Ione predeceased him. Don is survived by his brother Glen of Kamloops, his biological daughter Patricia, his granddaughter Kim, his great grandchildren Dustin, Amanda, Joshua and Austin, all of Kamloops, two aunts and many cousins, nieces and nephews in various parts of Canada and the United States. There will be no funeral service as per Don's wishes. Donations may be made to the Charity of your choice in Don's memory. Arrangements by Personal Alternative Funeral Services.
