KILLAM, Olivette Agnes – 64, Richmond Road, Hillview, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born January 20, 1948 in Briar Lake, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late Simon and Georgina (Comeau) Thibault. Olivette worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for her husband’s oil company, having also worked as a farm labourer with H. V. Anthony, as well as with Wallace Brother Farms. She enjoyed line dancing with Country Rhythm Dancers. She is survived by her husband, Douglas B. Killam, as well as by her two sons, Chris (Jan) Killam, Yarmouth, and Richard Killam, Hillview and a loving granddaughter, Chloe. Also surviving are sisters, Leonette (Walter) Theriault, Meteghan; Mariette (Ronnie) Jeddry, St. Alphonse; Yvette (Gerald) Maillet, Mavilette; brothers, Réal (Renette) Thibault, Briar Lake; Lloyd Thibault, Meteghan. She was also godmother to her nephew, Guy Thibault and neice Denise Melanson. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Aaron, Sam and Roy Thibault. Visitation took place from 2-4 and again from 7-9 Monday, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where the funeral was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, Deacon Stephen Bourque officiated. Internment followed in the St. Cleophas Cemetery, Hectanooga. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
