Helen A. Wickenheiser Gibson Jan. 22, 1939 - Jan. 17, 2007 Helen was born in Portland, Oregon. She visited B.C. in 1975 with her niece, Julie Collins (Deuling) and her five children. From that time on Wendy, the oldest, traveled between Kamloops and Portland until she married and settled in Kamloops in 1979. Helen attended the birth of all her grandchildren, except one. Helen was with the Peace Corps in Cameroon, West Africa when her first grand-daughter, Aja Rain, was born. Helen very much enjoyed beachcombing the shores of Shuswap Lake and loved Kamloops' hot summer climate. In Kamloops, Helen is survived by her daughter Wendy (Larry) Loranger, as well as grandchildren Maya and Ella Loranger; and Max and Aja Hilland.
