BLAIR, Betty Juanita – 71, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, with her son at her side, on Saturday morning, February 25, 2012, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born September 25, 1940, in Colchester County, she was a daughter of the late Willis “Ted” and Amy (Dartt) Miller. Betty enjoyed playing the guitar and going to country Jams. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and traveling. Betty is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Dale) Pratt, North River; Jean (Robbie) Lynds, Valley; sons, Greg (Cheryl) Blair, Cold Lake, Alberta; John Blair, Tatamagouche; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Glen (Georgie) Miller, Edmonton, Alberta; Darrell (Mona) Miller, Moncton, New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ross William Blair; sister, Sylvia Anne Miller; companion and friend, Robert “Bob” Delaney. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Betty’s family will receive friends from 3:30-6 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Spring interment in Onslow Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory to IWK Health Centre Foundation are welcomed.
