BOSCO, JOSEPH - It is with sadness the family announce the passing of Joseph Bosco, loving husband of Sadie Ann (Porter) Bosco which occurred on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1928 in Saint John he was the son of the late Nichola and Margaret (Allen) Bosco. Devoted husband, father and grandfather he was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved playing pool and cards. Joseph worked at the drydock for Local # 3 and as a Longshoremen for ILA Local # 273 before his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Clara (Bruce) Forsythe of Saint John, Mary (Gary) Arseneault of French Village, Joseph (Leslie) Bosco of Toronto, ON and Lewis (Susan) Bosco of Saint John; daughter from a previous marriage Judy Ritchie; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers Ronnie and Harold; special friend of the family Bobbie (Lucy) Pearman; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Evelyn, brother Billy and sisters Rosie, Florence, Evelyn and Dolly.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland with visitation on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
