DOBSON, LAWRENCE - With great sadness we wish to announce the sudden passing of Lawrence Edward Dobson, 80, of Petitcodiac at the Moncton Hospital Sunday, February 26, 2012. Lawrence was retired from Lawson Flexible Packing. He served nine years with the Lorne Scots Regiment Reserves in Canada, was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, the Petitcodiac Senior's and bowled on several bowling leagues. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Colpitts); father to Wanda MacDonald of ON, a loving "Gramps" to Louie (Tammy) Manzo, Micki-Lee Baptista and Misty-Lee (Bradley) Strickland all of Ontario. Lawrence was a very special Great Grampie to Madelin, Macy and Miller Manzo and Alexus & Logan Strickland all of Ontario. Survived also by sister in law Eleanor McFee of Petitcodiac and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence E. and Myrtle (Dunsetch); brothers Robert and Douglas Dobson, infant sister and great grandson Alexander Carl Vizi.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday, February 29, 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Thursday, March 1 at 2 pm with Rev. David Woodworth and Rev. Rick Thomas officiating. If desired memorials to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
