It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Audrey Waye on Feb. 27, 2012, at the Northside General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Hilda White.
Audrey was employed at the Northside General Hospital for 41 years, retiring in 2009. She was a kind, lovable person with a great sense of humour and a strong love for animals. Her biggest joy was spending time with family and friends. She also cherished her years spent with her OR family.
Audrey is survived by her three children, Glen, Gail (Gary) Hall and Michael (Tracey); her loving grandchildren, Mitchell and Courteney, whom she adored.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her grandmother, Violet White.
Visitation for Audrey Waye will be held in the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, Wednesday, Feb. 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated Thursday at 3 p.m. in Carman United Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Nick Phillips. Interment will take place at a later date.
In the end it’s not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years.
