George "Pope" Morris of Charlottetown, formerly of Kinkora, died peacefully with his family by his side, on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the age of 78 years.
He was the son of the late Patrick "PL" and Ella (nee McMann) Morris. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee Smith) Morris and beloved father of Bernadette Morris, Stephanie Morris (Pierre Goyette) and Michelle Morris (Colin Martel). Cherished grandfather of Jonathan Goyette. He is also survived by his sisters Catherine "Kay" Murphy of Toronto and Paula Szawara (Albert) of London, Ont. Pope is also fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law Peter (Gladys) Smith of Oromocto, N.B. and Paul (Rona) Smith of Charlottetown.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:45 on Friday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment to take place later in St. Malachy's Cemetery, Kinkora.
If so desired, memorials in Pope's memory may be made to the P.E.I. Humane Society.
