DUNNING, GEORGE ALFRED - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of George “Alfred” Dunning, loving husband of the late Grace (Walton) Dunning on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born 1930 in Saint John, he was the son of the late George and Pheobe (Belyea) Dunning. In his earlier years he worked for the Royal Canadian Airforce, retiring after 25 years of service. Alfred worked for Ocean Steel and enjoyed working on motors and electrical appliances; he collected watches and loved music. Alfred will be greatly missed by his son Nick (Gayle) of Quispamsis, NB; step-sons Kevin Baldwin of Toronto, ON and Michael Baldwin of Winnipeg, MB; sister Shirley Dunning of Saint John, NB and special friends Andrea Woodard and Paul and Kelly Gallant of Rothesay, NB. Besides his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by his brother Everett.
Following cremation, a service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd (646-2424) on Thursday, March 1st, 2012 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
