Elizabeth (Betty) Paulett passed away on Feb. 15 at 99 in Mt. Edwards Court Care Home, Victoria. Betty, the eldest of six children, began her teaching career at 19 in a one-room schoolhouse on the Saskatchewan prairie near Southey, her birthplace. In 1938 she married Percy, a fellow teacher. They were both active community members in Moose Jaw for over 40 years. Percy passed away in 1991.
Betty is survived by one sister, Marion Jukes, of W Vancouver, son Lyle Paulett (wife Ayla), daughter Lynn Paulett Conall, Heriot Bay, BC, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her loving presence will always be with us.
A Memorial Service will be held at Minto United Church, Moose Jaw at 2 PM on June 2.
