ARDIEL ARDIEL, Shirley Doreen. Born Salvador, SK, September 23, 1929 passed away peacefully on February 15, 2007 at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC with her husband Glenn and son Bruce by her side. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Glenn, son Bruce (Doris), daughter Kathy (Kevin), Grandchildren; Lindsay (Jason), Amanda (Craig), Lisa (Doug), Monica, Evan. Great Grandchildren; Theron, Logan, Kelton, Lochlan. Sister Margaret (George), numerous nieces and nephews throughout BC and SK. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Florence Taylor. Siblings; Harold, Horace, Leonard, Willa, Alice. Shirley and Glenn started their life together May 29th, 1949 in Port Kells, BC. Shortly after their marriage they moved to the Burns Lake area to operate a trucking company. Upon their return to Port Kells in 1951 Glenn and Shirley built and operated a Shell service station. After the birth of their children, the 60's, 70's, & 80's saw a series of owner/operated Gas Stations and Grocery Stores throughout the interior of BC with Glenn and Shirley working side by side until 1984 when they retired and settled in Kamloops. During her retirement years, Shirley's passion was traveling with Glenn, Christmas baking, her children and grandchildren. In the last few years of her life a new passion was born, her great grandsons. Family was Shirley's world, her heart full of love and pride for each and every member. Funeral service was held at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Surrey, BC on February 20, 2007, with Reverend Doug Alexander officiating. Please join the family in a Memorial Tea at 2:00 p.m. on April 11, 2007 at Berwick on the Park, 60 Whiteshield Crescent South, Kamloops, BC.
