WEDDELL Judge Brian Coryell Weddell (ret) passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Kelowna General Hospital on March 29, 2007. Brian is survived by his three children, Deborah (Rosslyn), Craig (Paula), Timothy Clyde, two grandsons, Bryon, Jeremy and his brother Ted (Betty) of Kamloops. Brian was predeceased by his wife Verna on March 2, 2007. Brian was born on September 9, 1931 in Kelowna. After he attended law school, he returned to Kelowna to practice law with his father E.C. Weddell. He was appointed to be a judge of the Provincial Court of British Columbia on August 1, 1991. He retired in September 2001. A memorial service will be held at St. Michael's Cathedral, 1876 Richter Street, Kelowna, BC, on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. No flowers by request but in lieu thereof any donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1633 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1P6 would be appreciated. A gift in living memory of Brian will be made to "Holding Hands for Hospice" by Springfield Funeral Home.
