LeBLANC, Sr. ADELMA - Sister Adelma LeBlanc, n.d.s.c., in religion, Sr. Marie Bernard, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the convent where she resided following a short illness. She was 98 and in her 78th year of her religious life. Born June 4, 1813 in Fox Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jacques and Élisabeth (Legacé) LeBlanc. Besides her religious family, she is survived many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Isaac, Emmanuel, Léon, Marcellin, Arcade, Christina, Béatrice, Yvonne, Laudia, and Dora.
Sister Adelma will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère, 125 King St., Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Monday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday March 6, 2012 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memramcook.
