Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on Friday, March 2, 2012 Gordon Best age 88 years. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Celeste Best; infant daughter Pearl; brothers Stanley, Art and Percy; sisters Lydia, Gladys and Emma. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Grace; daughters Donna(Jack Rainey) of Kamloops, BC., Trixie(William Kean) of Bermuda, Janice(Glen Cowley) of Waterloo, ON., and Jocelyn(Robert Kean) of Waterloo, ON.; brother Abram Best of St. John’s; grandchildren Adam, Virginia, Vance, Sarah, Coreen, Beth, Alexander, Nicolas and Jason; great-grandchildren Finley, Sophia, Caleb, Madeline, Daniel, Benjamin, Tyler, Drew, Braxton, Matthew and Declan; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service took place at Ebenezer United Church, Brookfield on Monday, March 5, 2012 with Rev. Brian Hannon officiating. Interment followed at The United Church Cemetery, Brookfield.
