Passed away peacefully at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Effie; two sons: Guy Randell of St. John’s, Wilfred Randell (Eileen) of Roddickton; four daughters: Audrey (John) Barter of Stephenville, Betty (Tony) Vokey of Stephenville, Mae (Kenneth) Taylor of Stephenville and Golda Randell (Sid Harris) of Corner Brook; one brother Raymond (Beatrice) Randell of Englee, eight grandchildren: Rodney, Justin, Cynthia, Chad, Bradley, Randy, Andrew and Amanda, 7 great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Gertrude Randell. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6th at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 7th at 2:00 at the Salvation Army Church, Stephenville. Following the service, remains will be transported to Englee for interment. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are gratefully accepted.
