STEPHENS, BARBARA ISABEL - The death of Barbara Isabel Stephens occurred on March 4th, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born July 7th, 1938 in St. Stephen, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Mildred (Robinson) McGibbon. She is survived by her children, Robert Stephens of Fredericton, NB, Bryan Stephens (Anna) of Toronto, ON, Mary Jane Stephens of Fredericton, NB and Dr. Diane Stephens-Bacon (Jeffrey) of Amherst, NS; grandchildren, Emily and Olivia Bacon and Valerie and Lauren Stephens; siblings, Craig McGibbon of Moores Mills, NB, Edgar McGibbon (Brenda) of Moores Mills, NB, Mary-Lou McGibbon of St. Stephen, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Barb was well known for her strong faith in God and was an active member at Grace Memorial Baptist Church and at Skyline Acres Baptist Church. She spent her life helping, giving and caring for others and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Celestial Chapter # 3, Order of the Eastern Star will hold a memorial tribute at 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 7th, 2012 in the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel at 2:00 pm with Pastor Hal Babcock officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery at a later date.
