Bernard ‘Bernie’ Wilfred Schuamp

The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, March 5, 2012, of Bernie Schaump of Charlottetown and formerly of Cornwall, beloved husband of Patsy, his best friend and his love, age 71.
Bernie is survived by his sons, Pat (Sherry) and Lorne Schaump; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Donny (Willena); sister, Shirley Wrobleski; sisters-in-law, Jean Whitehead (Brian), Vivian McGuire (Dean), Reta Doyle (Mike) and Rosalie Profitt (Trevor); brothers-in-law, Paul and Andy Whitehead; best friend, Stan Carson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Piercy and Mary Louise (Aucoin) Schaump, brother, Micky, sister, Isabell, and father and mother-in-law, Joe and Bunny Whitehead.
Resting at Father Clare Macdonald Lounge of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall for visitation on Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Friday, March 9, 2012, at 11 a.m.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Bernie’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
