FORBES, PHILLIP N. – 58, of Parrsboro passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Phillip was employed with the Town of Parrsboro (Public Works Dept.) for more than 35 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Deborah O’Brien; daughter, Carrie Elward (Craig), Goff; son, Clayton, Halifax; sisters, Beverly Dowe (Kenneth), Auburn; Patsy Simmonds (Glen), Parrsboro; a brother, Michael, Parrsboro; several nieces and nephews. As well, he was a “dad” to numerous exchange students for many years. He was predeceased by a brother, Brian. He was a son of Shirley (Henwood) Forbes, Parrsboro, and the late Norris Forbes. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Keith Selwyn-Smith, DLM officiating. Burial in the Parrsboro United Cemetery.
