The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, December 6th, 2009 of Mary “Margaret” Perry (nee Poirier) of Summerside and formerly of Miscouche, aged 95 years. Margaret was born on May 19th, 1914 in St. Nicholas, P.E.I. to her late parents Arsene & Sophie Poirier. Beloved wife of Frank Perry of Summerside and loving mother of Annette (Fred) Tardif, Ken (Rose), Don, Gary and David (Mary) all of Montreal, Que., and Gil of Nfld. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Julie (Karl) Tardif of Montreal, Que., Dann (Evelyn) Tardif of Newmarket, Ont., Sandra (Eric) Anthony of California, U.S.A. & Justine Perry of Nfld., her great-grandchildren Leah, Kess, Joshua, Keighlan, Brooklyn, Luke, Makena & Riley and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Theresa Perry of Summerside and her brother Willie Poirier of Miscouche. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, December 12th, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Following cremation, interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Friday, 2–4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Margaret’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
