BOUCHER, RITA M. - Rita M. Boucher, 82, of Moncton, with loving family members at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday evening, March 8, 2012. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Florida (LeBlanc) Hebert. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed playing bingo, shuffle board, listening to music, attending family gatherings, socializing with her friends and spending time with her family.
Rita will be sadly missed by her children, Patricia Gardner (Sterling) of Moncton, Bernice Hannah (Matthew) of Salisbury, Laurie of Moncton, David (Yuki) of Scarborough, ON, Peter (Christine) of Riverview; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret LeBlanc (late Robert) of Oshawa, ON, Alice Ayles (Myles) of Moncton, Jean Burt (Roy) of Newfoundland; brothers, Albert Hebert (Vivian), Leo Hebert (late Giselle), Edgar Hebert, Raymond Hebert (Mary), all of Moncton, Fred Hebert (Margaret) of Salisbury; son-in-law, Raymond Hachey of Scoudouc; several nieces and nephews. Rita will also be sadly missed by a dear friend, Paul Melanson.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leo Boucher (December 1987); sons, Paul (March 2001), Robert (July 2009); daughters, Margaret (1953), Jeanette (December 2009); sister, Rose; brothers, Gerald, Johnny and Edward.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00 am, Rev. Arthur Bourgeois officiating. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass.
