Eleanor Dawson
DAWSON, ELEANOR - Eleanor “Nanoune” Dawson, 77, of Shediac, passed away with her family by her side following a brief illness at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center on Thursday March 8th 2012. Born on April 18, 1934 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Marguerite (LeBlanc) Williams. She was a former employee with NBLCC Shediac prior to her retirement. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and will be sadly missed by four daughters: Andrea Dawson and Debbie LeBlanc (Guy), both of Shediac, Joan Hébert (Oscar) of Dieppe and Susie Dawson (Normand Leménager) of Shediac River; one son, Bill Dawson (Linda LeBlanc) of Cap-de-Cocagne; one sister, Sadie Arsenault (Harvey) of Newburyport, MA; a special sister-in-law, Helen (Ian) MacDonald of Moncton; a special brother-in-law, Irvine Dawson of Portage Vale; her sixgrandchildren whom she loved dearly: Marc, André, Mathieu, Beverly, Erika and Lee-Ann; one great-granddaughter, Malyka, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Dawson (1992) and a brother, Alan. Her greatest passion was taking care of her family and her dearest friends. Those who have been touched by her presence will surely remember her humorous nature and joy for life.
A private visitation and chapel service was held at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). In memory of Eleanor, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology) would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
