Brown: Muriel Frances, 86, Truro, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in the Colchester Regional Hospital Truro. Born in Folly Lake she was a daughter of the late Harold Blair (Bishop) and Annie Gertrude (Withrow) Geddes. Muriel was a former employee of Stanfield’s Ltd. Truro for 42 years and was also an adherent of the Immanuel Baptist Church Truro. She is survived by sister, Hildred Strinholm, Melford, Sask; brother, Willard Geddes, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Laurier Brown; sisters, Hazel, Dorothy, Bertha, Nellie, Jean; brother, Harold. Visitation will be held Friday, December 11, from 3-4pm prior to funeral service at 4pm with Pastor Cory Somers officiating, assisted by Pastor Kaj Binderup, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro. Interment to be held at a later date in the Folly Mountain Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
