FOSTER, RICHARD “RICK” DALE - With great sadness, the family of Rick Foster wishes to announce his sudden passing on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born December 27, 1958, he was a son of Fred and the late Darlene (Green) Foster. Rick was a past member of Local 213 and worked in Metal Trades until a few years ago. In his younger years, he was very involved with Scouts Canada as a Scout Leader, he coached little league, and he also played baseball. Rick loved canoeing and spending time outdoors; he spent numerous hours fishing with his grandson, Owen, at their lake. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Foster (Joe Arseneau) and Christina Foster; step-son, Sean Bustin; sisters: Kim Stanwix (Rick), Brenda Ouellett, Barbara “Lynn” Foster (Wayne), and Erin Douthwright (Adam); brother, Kenneth (Rachel); grandchildren: Owen Cook-Foster, Kody Foster, Austin Dean, Hanna Foster; ex-wife, Phyllis Flowers (Tom); several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Rick was predeceased by his mother and an infant sister.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, March 11, 2012 and Monday, March 12, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2 PM. Remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
