Wilf Lohrenz was born in Langham, SK on April 26, 1934 and passed away at home at the age of 75 on December 8, 2009. Wilf is survived by his wife Marilyn; his children Kathleen (Garry) Lohrenz Gable & their children Lindsay & Hillary; Keith (Carmen) Lohrenz & their children Kyle, Danae & Sarah and Grant (Charlene) Lohrenz; his sister Mildred (Jake) Friesen; his brother-in-law R.K. “Bob” (Wilma) Gossen; his sister-in-law Sandy Nickel and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and pets. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Elizabeth Lohrenz. Wilf had a 50 year career in Pharmacy, running a successful retail pharmacy in partnership. Wilf loved the outdoors and felt at home there making sacrifices so his entire family could benefit from life experiences in nature. Those involved in sport will remember Wilf as a fastball pitcher playing in a commercial league until age 55, as well as league hockey. Wilf was always active in athletics and sport. Wilf’s life was punctuated with humour, a real zest for living and a generous spirit. He had a very strong faith which was present in his church and community. He was thankful to God in nature and for all the positive blessings bestowed on him. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Grace Mennonite Church, 250 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Ryan Siemens officiating. Private Family Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre or P.A. Home Care. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Drew Gray, Funeral Director.
