DEE, JOHN F. - John Franklin Dee born March 24, 1934 died on March 9, 2012. John was born in Aroostook Junction, son of the late Marguerite McNally and Lawrence Dee. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley M. Dee (Anderson) of Grand Falls, NB and sons Gary J. Dee (Candy Cooper) of Edmonton, AB; Wayne R. Dee (Heather Dee) of Phoenix, AZ and daughters Barbara J. Babcock (Dee) (Hal Babcock) of Temperance Vale, NB; Linda L. McLaughlin (Dee) (William McLaughlin) of Miramichi, NB; Sandra V. Dee (Brian Murphy) of Halifax, NS; grandsons: Aaron T. Babcock, Jeremy M. Babcock, Andrew NJ Babcock, Addison M. Dee, Ashley W. Dee, John WW McLaughlin, Timothy G. McLaughlin and granddaughters: Kelly L. McLaughlin, Sarah L. Greenlaw and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving brothers Howard Dee of Ohio, Robert Dee of Tennessee and sister Joyce Trask (Dee) of Virginia. Predeceased by brothers Lawrence Junior Dee of Connecticut, Richard Dee of Fredericton and sister Elva Holbrook/Dee of Virginia. He was employed with the CPR for 38 years as a Telegrapher Agent and later as a Supervising Agent. A longtime member of the Baptist Church in Grand Falls, NB, Colebrooke Lodge # 39 F. & A.M., Grand Falls. His love of gardening, fishing and political debate will always be remembered by family and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at the Aroostook Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 14th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Rhyno, assisted by Pastor Grant Milroy officiating. A reception to follow at the Aroostook Baptist Church. For those who wish, a donation to the Pine Hill Cemetery of Grand Falls would be appreciated by the family. www.oregans.ca
