Belben, Brenda, Truro NS; formerly of Birchy Head & Kelligrews, NL, 59 years. The world is a little less fabulous today as our beloved daughter, sister, mother, nana, aunt, & friend has gone home to God. Brenda graduated from the Grace Nursing School in St.John's, NL in 1972, & spent much of her career working to improve the lives of those living with mental health issues. At home, she kept busy raising her two daughters & later spoiling her grandchildren. Left to carry her memory; father; Clyde Belben, her siblings; Jerry (Genevieve) Belben, & Debbie (Darin) Pike, her daughters; Serena (Corey) Ali-Shortliffe, & Crystal (Brett) Vey, her grandchildren; Kiran, Sara, & Avi, her niece; Cheryl (Jason) Pike, and cherished circle of friends & colleagues. Brenda was predeceased by her mother; Maude Belben nee McKenzie. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Birchy Head, Pentecostal church in Birchy Head, NL, on Sunday, March 11th, 2012, from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm , and continuing on Monday, March 12th, 2012, from the hours of 2 - 4 pm. The family will be having private visitation for family and close friends, from 7 - 9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012, at 2: pm with Pastor: Derek Frampton officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Birchy Head, NL.
