It is with sadness that the families of the late Gladys Dorothy Osmond announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre at the age of 99 years. Gladys is predeceased by her husband, Ambrose Osmond; sons, Harold, and Fred; daughter-in-law, Helen; parents, Stanley and Mary Ann Sparkes; siblings, Gertie, Ida, Rita, Edith Cavell, Bertie, Jack and Venus. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Stanley (Doreen) and Eric; grandchildren, Peter, Gary, Kevin, Susan, Lisa, Patricia, Blair, Debbie, Darlene, Dorothy and Cindy; daughter-in-laws, Alice, and Winnie; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as a large circle or nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Public visitation took place Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The funeral service took place Friday, March 2, 2012 at 2 pm from The Community Church, Millertown, NL. The interment will be at a later date. No Flowers by request.
