It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden death of Gloria (Hollohan) Kober at home on March 9, 2012.
Born in Sydney, July 31, 1957, Gloria was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Hollohan.
In her life time, Gloria was a loving mother and long standing friend. She loved to travel. Gloria will be remembered by family and friends for her love of reading and walking.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Veronica (John) Scarcella; granddaughter, Sofia, Winnipeg; sisters, Sissy Crummey (the late George Crummey), New Waterford, Moira (Keith )MacDonald, Sydney, and Rose (Randy) Berkshire, Gander, N.L.; brothers, Shauen (Linda) Hollohan, Sydney, and Bernie Hollohan, Chatham, N.B.; and sister-in-law, Angela Hollohan (the late Blaise Hollohan), Toronto.
Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Gloria (Hollohan) Kober will be held in the Pier Community Funeral Home, All Faith Chapel, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Saturday, March 17, 2012. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10-11 a.m. with memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. Light refreshments will be served in the reception area. Interment will take place in the new Calvary Cemetery, Whitney Pier.
Donations in memory of Gloria may be made to any food bank, library or charity of choice.
