George Doubroff

Born In: Canada

Passed in: Canada

In Loving Memory of George Doubroff George Doubroff was welcomed into the loving arms of His Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House at the age of 80 years. George is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Norma; his daughters Irene (Bob) Simpson, Margaret (Norm) Spohr, Christine (John) Robertson; sons Andrew (Melanie) Doubroff and David Doubroff; grandchildren Duane Gauntlett, Andrea (Kelly) Warkentin, Aaron Spohr, Kenton Spohr, Emily Robertson, Stefan Spohr and Camille Robertson; also his great grandchild Aviendha Warkentin; his brother Nik; and sister Vera. George delighted in telling friends his life story, which began in Manchuria, China. When George was two years old, his family moved to Australia, where he remained until the age of 12, at which time they moved to New Zealand. When George was 23, he traveled throughout North America and after two years his intended bride, Norma, joined him in Vancouver, B.C. where they were married. Their five children were born and raised in various parts of British Columbia. George's happiest moments were when he was sharing with folks the story of his salvation and all that the Lord meant to him in his life. His greatest joy was working in the Church to further the reach of the Gospel message. While we will miss him dearly, we look forward to a sweet reunion with him in glory. "What a day that will be for all of us!" A service to Celebrate the life of George will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Kamloops Alliance Church, 233 Fortune Drive. The family wish that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House, 72 Whiteshield Cres. Kamloops, B.C., V2E 2S9. Service arrangements are entrusted to Justin Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 554-2324.
