GEDDES, Willard Reginald – 84, Northwood Manor, Halifax, formerly of Folly Mountain, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Northwood Manor, Halifax. Born August 13, 1927, in Folly Lake, he was a son of the late Harold and Annie (Withrow) Geddes. Willard lived all of his life in Folly Mountain and worked with Lafarge Canada for many years. He loved being outdoors, enjoying nature and feeding the wild animals that frequented his property. Willard is survived by his sister, Hildred Strinholm, Melfort, Saskatchewan; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Hazel (Albert) McKillop, Jean (Charlie) Stewart, Nellie (Pat) Gushue, Bertha (Doug) Mickleoff, Dorothy (Art) Brown, Muriel (Bob) Brown; brother, Harold Geddes; brother-in-law, Wilfred Strinholm. Interment will be held at a later date in Folly Mountain Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Willard’s memory to SPCA are welcomed.
