Victor Daigle

DAIGLE, VICTOR - 1963 – 2012 - Victor Daigle, 48 of Calgary and formerly of Cap-Lumière passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, March 11th, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Moncton on September 3rd, 1963, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lina (Cormier) Daigle. He will be sadly missed by his mother Lina Daigle of Cap-Lumière, his long time friend Lee Giroaurd, three brothers; Roger (Cécile) and Yvon (Émerise) of Cap-Lumière, Louis (Anise) of Saint-Maurice de Kent, three sisters; Patsy Daigle (Gerry) of Bouctouche, Lorraine Kivelos (Nick) of Dieppe and Nora (Martine) of Ottawa and several nephews and nieces. Victor was an avid cross country skier who won many provincial competitions and faired extremely well internationally. He had moved to Calgary to train at the Olympic training site close by in Canmore. Victor would travel home to his family every summer to fish lobster to follow in his late father’s footsteps.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Richiboucto-Village on Saturday March 17th, 2012 from 9:30 to 11:15. Funeral Mass will be held at the Richiboucto-Village Church on Saturday, March 17th, 2012 at 11:30 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Victor’s memory donations can be made to the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital Palliative Unit.
