GIROUARD, IRENE - 1950 – 2012 - Irène Girouard, 61 of Bouctouche Cove passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital University Center, Moncton on Friday, March 16th, 2012. She was married to Gerald Girouard. Born in Sainte- Marie de Kent on November 29th, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and the late Marie Blanche (Cormier) Richard. She will be sadly missed by her husband Gerald, her three children; Bernice Allain (Guy) of Bouctouche Bay, Claudette Girouard (Bruno) of Moncton, Donald at home, and her four grandchildren; Christopher, Dylan, Danyka, and Dominic. She also leaves to mourn three sisters; Andréa Belliveau (Thaddée) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Noella Poirier (Normand), Diana Poirier (Donald) of Saint-Edouard de Kent, three brothers; Roméo (Évéline) of Bouctouche, Omer (Germaine) and Léonide (Debbie) of Sainte- Marie de Kent, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday, March 19th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday, March 20th, 2012 at 2:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
