RAY ERNEST WILLFORD
Feb. 19, 1959 - Dec. 2, 2009
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Ray Willford at the age of 50 years in Kamloops.
He is survived by his loving soulmate and best friend Diane Kliewer, step-daughter Correne (Shaun), Jaidyn, step-son Brad (Kalie), our dog Jessie, his cat 'Freedom', numerous family members in the Okanagan and many special circle of friends.
Ray will be remembered as being a gifted musician, writing many songs, and anyone that was blessed to hear him sing and play his guitar, had their hearts deeply touched.
He loved the Canucks and Blue Jays and anything to do with the great outdoors, including working on the Forest Fires.
He will be deeply missed but his spirit will forever be with us in the wind, sun, stars, and through the special friends we knew.
Ray was born in Nelson, B.C. and spent the last 14 years in Kamloops.
Ray was predeceased by his mother Marion in 2003. Ray's remains will be placed with hers in Kaslo, B.C. in the spring.
Ray was a kind hearted caring person who never judged a soul, and would offer his help in anyway.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Center, 168 Briar Avenue, Kamloops.
Words of prayer by The Very Reverend Louise Peters.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Society of St. Vincent DePaul "Out of the Cold" Program, 168 Briar Avenue, Kamloops, B.C. V2B 1C1 would be greatly appreciated.
