FITZPATRICK, ILA KATHERINE - Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday March 17, 2012 at the age of 86, Ila Fitzpatrick wife of the late Earl Fitzpatrick. She was born on November 29, 1925, daughter of the late Elizabeth (Gaudin) LeBlanc and the late Fred Leblanc. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Ila was an avid reader, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, played bingo and followed golf. Her greatest joy however, was her two grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Fitzpatrick (Bryan MacNaughton) of Tide Head, Jean Woods (Jim) of St. John, and Nancy Fitzpatrick (Chris O’Hara) of Fredericton and her sister, Isabel Gagnon of White Rock, BC. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Emily and James Woods, several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, and a sister, Irene Grant.
Funeral services will be held from Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton on Wednesday March 21 at 11am. Family will receive friends at the Chapel one hour before the service. Memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
