
Bernice Cormier
CORMIER, BERNICE - Bernice Cormier, 86, of the Villa Providence and formerly of Cap Bimet Blvd, Grand-Barachois, passed away at her residence surrounded by her daughter and friends, on Monday, March 19, 2012. Born July 5th, 1925 in Sackville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helene (Leger) Landry. Prior to her retirement she was employed with Paturel Seafood. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch #91 in Cap-Pelé. Bernice will be greatly missed by her three daughters: Doloria LeBlanc (Richard) of Louisiane, Louise Leger (Valerie) of Grand-Barachois and Rose Marie Tourigny (Donald) of Templeton, MA; one son, Emil LeBlanc (Carrie) of Edmonton, Alberta; one sister, Ada Richard (Réginald) of Fitchburg, MA; seven grandchildren: Michael, Bryan, Natasha, Brett, Rickie, Marco and Leslie; nine great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; special stepdaughter, Carmella; and her sisters: Rachel and Marcia; one step-son, Roméo; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her first husband, Albert LeBlanc; a second husband, Ovila J. Cormier; two sisters: Ethel and Minnie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Thursday, March 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, March 23, from 10:00 a.m. until time of departure (10:45 a.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Henri R.C. Church, Barachois, on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Bernice, donations may be made to the Villa Providence Foundation and Barachois cemetery.
