In Loving Memory ELVA ALICE SHANNON 1922 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elva Shannon at Royal Inland Hospital on May 22nd, 2007 with her family at her side. Mom is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60-years, Lawrence, three daughters - Sharon (Terry) Brown, Marlene (Ernie) Wurmlinger, Deb (Tom) Hewitt, one sister Florence (Ray) Adams, one brother Lloyd (Rita) Routley, nine-grandchildren - Tracy (Dan) Helly, Kim (Geoff) Lee, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jarrett, Lindsay, Misty, Kristy, Allison, eight-great grandchildren as well as many special friends. Mom was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers. Mom was very active with church seniors and loved to help them because "she was too young to be considered a senior". Mom was a ray of sunshine to many, with her love, joy, laughter, sense of humor and her kind caring generous heart. Special thanks go out to the emergency response team, nurses at RIH, and in particular Dr. Mosewich and Dr. Newmarch. A Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Community Church, 1205 Rogers Way, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 26th, 2007 with Pastor Don Maione officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon, 201 - 635 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC, V2C 2B3 in Elva's memory.
