Neil Daniel McLean of Colby Street, Sydney, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of Dolena (MacLeod) McLean and the late Rev. Neil J. McLean.
Surviving are his sons, Alexandra and Kendall McLean, Dartmouth; companion, Shirley Erickson, Sydney; sisters, Sharon (Gilbert) Schmidt, Sydney, and Rachel (Rev. J. Gillis) Smith, N.B.; nephew, Timothy Schmidt, Sydney; and the mother of his children, Barbara (Burke) McLean, Dartmouth.
Daniel was predeceased by his daughter, Samantha Jean, in infancy and brothers, James Alexandra and Neil David, in infancy.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church on Thursday, 10:30 a.m., with interment in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Framboise.
