FARINA 1962 - 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul A. Farina on May 24, 2007, at 45 years of age. Predeceased by his father, Andrew Farina and brother-in-law Patrick Reid. He is survived by his mother Trudy Farina of Kamloops, his young son Cole and his mom Melissa; sisters Judy Reid and family of Williams Lake, Valerie Farina of Powell River, Pat Farina of Vancouver and brother Doug MacKenzie and family of Calgary. Paul was born in Kamloops and received his schooling there. He graduated from U.B.C. as a Civil Engineer in 1986. After spending several years in Japan working for Berlitz International Language School, he was employed by I.P.A.C. Chemicals in Vancouver and later in Victoria. He married Melissa Lybbert in 2002 and they made their home in Cobble Hill, B.C. He loved outdoor sports shared with family and friends, especially camping, mountain biking and skiing. His loyalties were deep and he saw humour and hope in any situation. We are extremely grateful to the Vancouver General Medical staff and all the others who gave so much of themselves during Paul's illness. For those who wish, donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada - 310 - 1682 W. 7th Ave., Vancouver, B.C. V6J 4S6. Funeral services to be held in Vancouver at a later date.
