Born In: British Columbia, Canada

Passed in: British Columbia, Canada

FRANCIS (FRANK) MOON May 4, 1954 - June 2, 2007 It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear brother Frank. He passed away in the early hours of the morning on June 2nd, 2007 at R.I.H. after a brief illness. Frank left this world loved by his sister Dolina. He will be missed by his long time friend John Ballard, his Saturday morning buddy Geoff Dodd, the staff and residents at Gaumont's boarding home, where Frank was happy to call home for the past 3 years and many other friends and acquaintances that he encountered in his daily activities. Frank was predeceased by his Dad, Frank, in 1991 and his Mom Annabell, who passed away February 6, 2007. Frank was a good and generally happy soul. With a hearty handshake or a hug and a smile he was always happy to greet those he knew. He saved his biggest hugs for his Mom whom he loved dearly. He was pleased to remember the names of those he met throughout his day. He was happy with life's little pleasures. Frank would want me to thank everyone who had helped him live his life with the happiness he did have. Thanks to John Ballard for being such a good friend for so many years, thanks to all the staff and residents at Gaumont's who gave Frank a happy home, thanks to the mental health care workers who helped Frank, thanks to the staff and patrons at McDonald's and Mr. Mike's who helped him feel welcome and to many others who treated him well along the way. Thanks, too, to Dr. Leung for caring for Frank through his life's challenges for many years and these past few weeks. Thanks to Dr. Collier, Dr. McLeod and Dr. Prasad for trying very hard to help Frank these past weeks. Thanks to the nurses in unit 1 on 3 West whose special care helped him be comfortable for his last days. Thanks to the visitors who came to the hospital to say goodbye. Thanks Franklin for being my "best" brother. I'll always miss you. Frank would not have wanted a service. Should friends desire a donation may be made to Ronald McDonald House BC or R.I.H. Hospital Foundation. I've blown you another kiss Franklin... catch it as you go.
