JOWETT Mr. Robert Newman Jowett of Kamloops, B.C. passed away on June 4, 2007. He was born February 23, 1928 at Edmonton, Alberta. Robert is survived by his wife of 25 years Doris, his sons Dan (Holly) of Edmonton, Wade (Theresa) of Chilliwack and Darin (Fran) of Kamloops and daughter in law Glenda of Edmonton. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers Walter and Al, stepchildren Don of Victoria, Dolores (David) of Kamloops and Jim of Kamloops, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and special friend Megan. Robert was predeceased by eldest son Robert Allan Jowett in March 2004, first wife Betty in 2006, sister Vi and brother Tom. Bob enjoyed a long and rewarding career with Swifts and Gainers, where over the years he made many friends. Bob was an avid sports fan, particularly in hockey and golf. In his earlier years, and for many years Bob was a referee for a variety of minor and junior hockey leagues. When he wasn't on the ice, Bob would be found on the nearest golf course, where he spent plenty of time after his retirement. Bob will be remembered for his spirited nature, strength and independence. He will be missed. Special thank you to the staff of Royal Inland Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
