POPP Martha Leona Rose Popp (nee Borle) passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Overlander Extended Care at the age of 82 years. Lovingly remembered by her daughters Beverly (Lyn) Jost of Calgary and Elaine (Dale) Fraser of Lillooet and by her sons Marvin of Abbotsford and Victor (Marie Helene) of Ensisheim, France; grandchildren Bonnie Popp, Jody (Sean) Harper, Rebecca Popp, Chad Fraser, Brett Fraser, Heather Fraser, Bryan Popp, Alison Popp and Raymond Popp. Also left to cherish her memory are brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Martha was predeceased by her husband Anton, her son Dwaine and daughter-in-law Mary. She was born on June 2, 1925 in Barrhead, Alberta, where she married Anton on October 23, 1947. Martha and her young family moved from Barrhead to Kamloops in the fall of 1950 where she resided in the BC Interior for the remainder of her life. The last five years were spent at Overlander Extended Care due to Alzheimer's. Besides her garden, Martha enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Catholic Women's League doing volunteer work. As well, she enjoyed ball games, bowling, hockey games and baking her family's favourite - homemade bread and doughnuts! The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Pastor Don Maione officiating.
