Edward Clouston
CLOUSTON, EDWARD - Mr. Edward Raymond Clouston, husband of Margaret (Connick) Clouston, of Route 108, Lower Derby, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the age of 86. Born in Lower Derby, he was the son of Oman and Irene (Hare) Clouston. A World War II Vet, Ed was retired from MF Esson and Sons and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid giant pumpkin grower. Besides his wife Margaret, Mr. Ed Clouston is survived by his two daughters, Donna Clouston of Summerside, PE and Cheryl Hubbard (Wayne) of Lower Derby; his son, Edward Jr. (Eileen) of Lower Derby; two sisters, Pauline of Lower Derby and Martha of Montreal, QC; one brother, Oman (Irene) of Lower Derby; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by two grandsons, Eddie Clouston and Shane O’Toole; one great-grandson, Sean Campbell; three sisters, Muriel, Pearl and Lillian and four brothers, John, Robert, Magnus and Clarence.
Mr. Ed Clouston rested at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, with visitation on Saturday from 7 to 9 and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service was held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11am at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bradford Blaikie officiating. Organist Phyllis Mossman led soloist Carla Pozer in “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art”. Guitarist Lawson Drisdelle, accompanied by soloists Carla Pozer and Mary Lou Patrick rendered “Ships of Heaven”. A time of reflection was by his granddaughter, Shakara Carter. Readings were by his daughter-in-law, Eileen Clouston and his granddaughter, Holly Gallant. In Ed’s memory, donations made to New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation or Grace Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Active pallbearers were Aaron O’Neill, Ford Jardine, Kiley Hubbard, Kevin Doyle, Robbie Carter and Peter Bernard. Honorary pallbearers were Ian Gallant, Leo Lavoie, Jim Sommerville, Arthur Daley, Jimmy Clancy, Fred Green, David Lee, Edward Howe, Warren Ahern, George Mullin and Kevin Clouston.
