It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ralous James Brake announce his peaceful passing on Friday, December 11th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, at the age of 50 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Jeanette Brake (nee Lewis); son, Shane Ralous Brake (Kayla Boyd); father, James “Jim” Brake (Nina Durnford); sister, Carolann (Anthony) Lewis; brothers: Karl (Janice) Brake and Blaine (Jenny) Brake; mother-in-law, Melba Lewis; brothers-in-law: Anthony (Carolann) Lewis, Elvis (Helene) Lewis, Wallace (Pamela) Lewis, Vernon (Sandra) Lewis and Darren (Linda) Lewis; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine Brake; father-in-law, Howard Lewis and sister-in-law, Joy Lewis. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Meadows with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
