It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick Joseph Hurley announce his passing on Thursday, December 10th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife of 61 years, Julie (nee Andre); son, Tony (Judy), Corner Brook; grandson, Andre (Jaime), St. Catharines, Ont.; great-grandchildren: Patrick and Charles, St. Catharines and Beth, Corner Brook; brothers: Fergus, Meadows and Gregory (Doreen), Corner Brook; sister, Carrie Carroll, Pasadena; sister-in- law, Geraldine Brinston, Lewisporte; brother-in-law, Alphonsus (Elsie) Andre, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Dina Hurley, Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Madeline Hale, Herring Neck and Eileen Hussey, Herring Neck; parents-in-law, Annie and Francis Andre, Herring Neck. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, on Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 14th at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue, with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
