The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, December 10, 2009 of Darlene Christine Ford, of Brookfield, age 45. Darlene was the cherished wife of Artie MacQuarrie and devoted mother of Chad. She was the beloved daughter of Marvin and Christina Ford; the sister and best friend of Darrell (Donna) and Tracy (Eddie Campbell); and the loving aunt of Lindsay and Colton. Darlene is also survived by her father- and mother-in-law, Charlie and Minnie MacQuarrie; her brothers-in-law, Harold (Rose) MacQuarrie and Walter (Carrie) MacQuarrie; and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by special friends and co-workers at Blue Bay Farms. Darlene was predeceased by her nephew, Ronald Paul, and her dear friend, Eleanor Aten. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow for visitation on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7- 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in North Winsloe United Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to a trust fund for Chad or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
